Mindfulness Not Mindlessness

Mindfulness, what is it?

Mindfulness is the mental process of bringing one's focus on what is going on right now at that moment. In which can be practiced over time by meditation and other training. In other words, the mind is fully attentive of what's happening, what one is doing, as well as active and open awareness. 


In order to be mindful one must be aware as well as be present in life. I've become more aware of my present days within the past six months that I made time out of my day for some reflection and mindfulness in the morning. I love the fact that I am more aware now. I am able to be myself throughout the day when I am able to set my day with a routine. A praise and meditation. I can pray, listen to soothing music, do some yoga, and set my day.


I must say that mindfulness can be done in the car, while eating, during exercises, and in the shower. Mindfulness has been very important during my healing journey. I am very successful with my healing because mindfulness has really set me apart. I'm more disciplined with my walk towards healing my mind, body, and spirit. It has helped me to become a better me, I'm being authentic, which is my super power. I am being me, doing me, and being more like me.


​How can I get my mind to be mindful? You must practice mindfulness, awareness, and focusing. We are mindful automatically but when you become aware of what you are doing at the present time then that's when you are able to be mindful.


Who can do this? Any and everyone can do these exercises. The exercises are not difficult to do. You are required to find a safe,comfortable, and peaceful place. You should be comfortable and free from complications. Therefore, you can either close your eyes and focus on breathing, whats going on around you, or just let everything flow without any complications or force. This can be timed or free flowing.


When can I be mindful? You can be mindful as often as possible. And to be mindful throughout the day is the best thing to do. It is most necessary whenever you are feeling yourself controlled by your feelings and reactions of others and self.

Growth-mindset


Introducing a growth-mindset

Mindset goes hand in hand with the mindfulness that one must start to use in the future. I have always reminded my children that thinking without limits will encourage them to do more and become more like themselves.


The more you tell yourself that you are able to think a specific way, you can do a lot more than what you think or feel you can do. We must increase the way we think about our abilities and boundaries. Our limits should not stop at what we think our mind, body, and spirit can do.


By increasing how you speak about the limitless things that are possible in life we can increase our motivation to do more and become better. The more you use the growth-mindset the more you can change how you see things to be less impossible.


By changing how you view life you can experience life presently. Be mindful. Change or be changed.
